I have had a really hard time learning how to make bread and I was getting fed up with trying. The other day I was determined to learn how to make honey wheat bread. So I went online and googled honey wheat bread and found this recipe. It is so easy and it has turned out every time I've made it!!! I have so much confidence now when it comes to making bread. So I want to share the recipe with all of you, you may not have trouble making bread, but I think you will like this bread!!
Honey Wheat Bread
2 cups hot water ( I use just hot tap water )
2 tablespoons yeast
1/3 cup honey
2 cups wheat flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup veg. oil
5 cups all-purpose or bread flour ( I use bread flour )
Mix 2 cups hot water and 2 tablespoons yeast and dissolve yeast. Add honey. Stir. Add 2 cups wheat flour, salt and oil and mix together. Add 3 cups of all-purpose or bread flour and start to knead. Add a little flour at the time as you are kneading. I use about another 1/2 cup of my flour. I have never used the whole 5 cups. Knead for 10 to 15 mins. Place in well oiled bowl and turn dough to coat with oil. Cover with damp cloth. Let rise for 45 mins. Divide in half and place into greased loaf pans. Let rise until 1" over top of pan. Bake for 20 mins. on 375 degrees. Butter top and remove from pans and let cool on a towel. Makes 2 loaves.
I hope you enjoy this bread!!!

I can't wait to try it!!!!
Looks great...I'm like you, I can NOT make bread without the help of my handy bread machine (the cheater's way) but I will give this one a shot. Is it sweet or would it be good for sandwiches?
Good job. Glad to hear you got it down pat now on bread making. Thanks for the recipe too. I will have to try it. It sounds yummy!
