One of the boys Christmas presents was a discovery flight...they take you up for an hour and hope you love it so much that you will spend the money for flight lessons. Well our boys didn't need that to know if they love flying or want to take lessons. They have loved it since they were very young. We went out to the airport,they said that I was coming along to take pictures of the wreckage..which was not very funny to me!!
We met the pilot, he ask me if I was nervous...I answered NO, while deep down I was.
Here they are taking off. They were coming back in 20 minutes to change seats..each got a turn in the front seat.
So in about 20 minutes here they come.
They don't even get off the runway when they get out, now I don't think you should be out there on the runway stopped, but we are setting there watching them.
We see now that they have a flat tire. They landed with a flat tire!! After all this the pilot says that about 2 weeks ago he had to land a plane when the landing gear didn't come down at all!!!! The boys say now to him...Our Mama is very nervous NOW!!
Everybody goes out to tow it back in.
I thought that was it but the pilot got Brad and took off in another plane! Eric went back the next morning for his flight. They really had a great time! The pilot was a really nice guy and who knows maybe one day they will take lessons.
