We had a chance to go to a Youth Fireside for our Stake and Elder Clarke of the First Quorum of the Seventy came, with his wife Sister Clarke, to speak to the youth.....and he spoke to me!! Well he really came for the youth but every time I listen to any speaker I apply whatever I hear to myself and I try to change and do the things I hear. Elder Clarke went around and shook every ones hand and talked with them. He gave some very good council to the youth and to all there.
Things he counseled: Love the Lord, love your neighbor, have faith..read the Book Of Mormon and act, prepare for a mission, have a book of revelations, which is have a little book with you at all times to write the revelations that come to you, have the Holy Ghost with us..prepare to receive the sacrament..learn the sacrament prayers..these may be out of the order he gave them. He was a joy to listen to and I was really uplifted!! I'm sure the youth was too. It sure is good to have the gospel in my life. I know that it is true!!
